Gamze Korbek, Ph.D., is an assistant professor, researcher and lecturer at the Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Education, Charles University, Prague. With around 20 years of experience teaching English at an international level across all tiers, from pre-primary to tertiary education in countries including Italy, Spain, and Turkey, she works as a TEFL Methodologist in both practice and research.

She holds a double doctorate in Educational Sciences from the University of Burgos, Spain, and the University of Palermo, Italy, where her doctoral dissertation examined different teaching perspectives on CLIL across Italy, Spain, and Turkey. Her research focuses on CLIL, Applied Linguistics, Language Education, Teacher Education, and the Theory and Practice of Teacher Training.

She completed a postdoctoral fellowship with the JUNIOR Research Fund at Charles University, investigating the link between theory and practice in pre-primary and primary teacher training programmes. She is also the founder and organiser of the TSTT International Conference: Rethinking How We Train Teachers of Tomorrow. Her current research examines the role of Generative AI in CLIL coordination and practice.
